The Solar System at a Glance
|
Solar wind parameters reflected a nominal solar wind regime for the first half of the period. Solar winds decreased below 400 km/s, total field strength averaged near 4 nT, and the Bz component had no significant southward deviations. Shortly after 30/1500 UTC, the Phi angle switched to a positive orientation and density values began to rise. The Bz component then saw a gradual southward deviation to near -7 nT, Phi became variable, and solar winds began to increase, eventually reaching a peak near 480 km/s. There is a 10% chance of solar activity, with a 1% chance of a minor event, a 1% chance of a moderate event, and a 1% chance of a strong event.
