Solar activity reached moderate levels this period. Newly numbered Region 3110 (N16E72, Cao/beta) produced a long-duration M1/Sf flare with Type II and IV radio emissions at 23/1810 UTC. There were six active regions with sunspots this period. Regions 3107 (S24E37, Cao/beta), 3109 (N10W27, Dro/beta), and 3110 all exhibited growth this period while Regions 3102 (S25W66, Dao/beta), 3105 (S16E21, Dki/beta), and 3108 (S12W08, Cso/beta) were seen to be in minor decay. No Earth-directed CMEs were detected.
The solar kp index is active, reinforcing retrograde effects. The solar wind speed is currently above average, making retrograde effects moderately increased.
The solar wind environment was weakly enhanced this period.
